Answer: With the Own Stripe option, you connect your existing Stripe account and MTP charges a flat 3% platform fee. Stripe processes payments separately at their standard rate. This option gives you full control and lets you set your own service fee to patrons — which means you can generate extra revenue on top. With the MTP Gateway, we handle everything for one flat 7.9% fee that covers both platform and processing. No Stripe account needed.

Answer: Instantly. When you connect your own Stripe account, funds are deposited directly according to Stripe's standard payout schedule — usually 2 business days. There are no holding periods, no waiting until after your event, and no funds withheld by MTP.

Answer: Yes — and this is one of the most powerful features of the Own Stripe option. You set your own service fee that patrons pay at checkout. You pay MTP 3%, your patrons pay whatever fee you set, and you keep the difference. Many organizers use this to fully offset their platform costs or generate additional revenue from every ticket sold.

Answer: If a fraudulent transaction occurs on your event — a stolen card, an illegitimate chargeback — MTP absorbs the loss. You keep your money. No other major ticketing platform offers this protection. It means you can sell with complete confidence without worrying about fraud eating into your revenue.
